Ginger Bread Boys

I needed to empty the buffer on my camera in preparation for a trip to Hawaii and found these two pictures which were begging to be posted on my xanga site.  The first one is of Mom and me with a bunch of the ginger bread boys we baked at Christmas.  The other is Laura and me on my 65th birthday.

Beautiful Log Home in Canada

During my recent trip to Canada I stayed in the home of the Stoneys near Salmon Arm, British Columbia.  They built their home from logs.  I have never seen such fine woodwork on a log home.  The family lives off the land, has a 2-acre garden, milks cows, and builds log homes for others from their store of trees.  The family with 8 children all play instruments and the oldest 4 have a string quartet and play for weddings, etc.  I thought you might like to see their home.  Doc
