| I needed to empty the buffer on my camera in preparation for a trip to Hawaii and found these two pictures which were begging to be posted on my xanga site. The first one is of Mom and me with a bunch of the ginger bread boys we baked at Christmas. The other is Laura and me on my 65th birthday. |

| During my recent trip to Canada I stayed in the home of the Stoneys near Salmon Arm, British Columbia. They built their home from logs. I have never seen such fine woodwork on a log home. The family lives off the land, has a 2-acre garden, milks cows, and builds log homes for others from their store of trees. The family with 8 children all play instruments and the oldest 4 have a string quartet and play for weddings, etc. I thought you might like to see their home. Doc

| Dear Family and Friends: I just wrote an article for Acts & Facts which will be published in the December issue. It contains 10 pictures of ice crystals which I obtained from a Japanese scientist friend about 35 years ago. Thought you might like to get an early peek at 4 of them. Doc Vardiman
